As a bricklayer, I love it when there are nice details or an interesting design; it speaks to my artistic side. I am proud of the façades that I create.

WorldSkills Lyon 2024
From September 10 to 15, 2024, France invites the whole world to «see life in skills» at the 47th WorldSkills Competition in Lyon.
During France’s participation at the 2023 Québec Skills Competition, Elsa Furtado, head of the French delegation and responsible for international relations, spoke to us about the upcoming WorldSkills Competition.
An opportunity to showcase the skilled trades and training, the WorldSkills Lyon 2024 organizing committee has been hard at work since late 2021 to mobilize stakeholders to tackle, together and nationwide, a major challenge for youth, the economy, and society.
The international event, rooted in an unprecedented economic context, aims to mobilize youth to promote the excellence of their skills in order to meet the current and future challenges society faces.

- 85 participating countries and regions
Lyon will be the world capital of trades for one week, highlighting the excellence of young people’s know-how as a means of supporting renewed prosperity.
